The warty venus is a bivalve mollusk of the Veneridae family, with an almost rounded shell, furrowed by numerous and deep concentric streaks, of a yellowish-red color.
In order to fully enjoy its delicate flavor and brackish taste, this prized seafood should be eaten raw. Obviously it must be very fresh and to make sure that it is, you can sprinkle the mollusc with a drop of lemon which, still alive, must react with a contraction.
