Sea bass is a valuable sea fish belonging to the Serranidae family, which is physically characterized by an oblong body, gray-green skin on the back, silver on the sides and white on the belly. It can reach a maximum length of one meter, but the most common specimens range from 30 to 50 cm. Sea bass can be found on the coasts of Italy, especially near the estuaries of rivers, however, today it is widely bred.
This type of sea fish has a very delicate taste, it can be cooked whole in the oven, or filleted in a pan. It is also excellent boiled and served with mayonnaise.
