Kiwi is a fruit of tropical origin (its botanical name is Actinidia), now widely cultivated and appreciated also in Italy. Ovoid in shape, kiwi has a slightly rough light brown skin; the internal pulp, light green and almost white in the central part, is juicy and studded with numerous black seeds.
Excellent as a fresh fruit, kiwi is also used for fruit salads, sorbets, ice creams and sweet sauces.
