Crumiro is a typical dry biscuit, produced in Monferrato (in Piedmont), in the shape of a strip, about 4-5 cm long, slightly folded into a crescent and crossed by a series of parallel furrows. The scab is prepared with white and yellow flour, butter, sugar, eggs and yeast. The fairly soft dough is "squeezed" onto the oven plate by means of a pastry bag mounted with a star nozzle: this is how the surface with grooves is obtained.
