Typical biscuits of Venetian origin whose shape resembles a small sea bass (fish which in Venice is called "baicolo"). Baicoli are prepared with a mixture of flour, butter, sugar and brewer's yeast. The mixture, which must have the consistency of bread dough, is divided into small loaves: once cooked, they are cut into thin slices and returned to the oven to "biscuit" (ie to dry). They are excellent served with cream, hot chocolate or sweet wine.
